Loved this monastry and the extraordinarily sympathetic way it had been restored. Intrigued by the individual names given to each bedroom and the pair of clogs placed in the corridor outside each. The free underground parking, the lift access from the parking up to all floors and the 'museum' created next to the parkiing showing the original walls and samples of bricks and other artefacts form the days it was built as a monastry. The evening drink in the shade of the inner courtyard accessed directly from the bar. Above all, "Covi" the super helpful and welcoming receptionist who should receive recognition for her great love of the monastry and enthusiasm for it. She was equally lovely on our departure the next day!

This is a beautiful, very large parador opened around 2013. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and we booked a standard room. Food was good in the restaurant and in the bar. Do take the tour of the parador and the church offered every day at 10:30. Great location, you can walk 20 minutes to Cangas del Narcea or take a hiking trail just across the road from the parador, you will see a trail sign. We walked to Puleo, easy and quiet walk through the woods. Parking is just outside or in the garage. This was all around a very good stay.

Everything about this property is exceptional Free onsite secure Parking , beautiful grounds fabulous extremely high quality interior. The room we were given was huge with an enormous double bed. The bathroom was large with a great shower and the whole place was extremely clean. The restaurant served beautiful food in stunning surroundings and the library is to die for. Such high quality acconodation at this price is difficult to find elsewhere We didn’t use the spa facilities as we were only there for one night but we did look in and found it really good

Very good offerings at breakfast. The building itself is quite imposing and it's impossible to forget all the religious brothers who lived here. Rooms are spacious and spotless and staff are very conscientious. Restaurant: very good and, in the Spanish tradition, dinner is served late (earliest 8.30) and portions are huge. You will just about be able to stagger up to your room!

Patricia

Lovely large room, very comfortable beds. luxurious towels, decent water pressure, interesting library. The absolute highlight was the delicious meal which we enjoyed so much more because of the very helpful, kind and professional staff who were attentive (without hovering) and happy to spend the time explaining the menu. Would definitely return
